Description: | The flipped classroom is a pedagogical model in which the typical lecture and homework elements of a course are reversed. It seems to be revolutionizing education in USA. But how about Europe? Some teachers are a bit baffled by the concept of a flipped classroom: it looks like more work (making videos) with little benefits. And this is true: In many European countries, teachers are already more or less following the flip approach, so starting to create lecture videos seems a bit superfluous. In this webinar we'll discuss the core principles of a flipped classroom and different ways in which it might practically be achieved, from a European perspective. The webinar is led by researcher Tarmo Toikkanen from Aalto university in Finland. Participants are welcome to tell about their own experiences, share tips and debate. We invite all iTEC partners, teachers and other colleagues to take part in this webinar! More information on iTEC webinars: http://itec.eun.org/web/guest/webinars |
